Live Blog Engagement Tools

Learn more about our Tickaroo Live Blog engagement tools, such as live comments, polls, and guest access.

Q&A Sessions with Experts and Audience

With Tickaroo Liveblog, you can easily host interactive Q&A sessions between experts and readers. To do this, you’ll need our guest access and the comment function. How It Works: Invite Experts: Use guest access to invite experts to the desired live blog via email. They will have full access to this live blog but cannot leave the editor area. Create a Q&A Post: Create a pinned post with the comment function enabled so readers can ask questions directly. Alternatively, you can create a separate post for each expert, enable the comment function, and mark it as a highlight to make it easily visible for readers. Answer Questions: Readers ask their questions in the comments. Experts can respond directly via the Liveblog Editor using the comment function. Live Blog Polls

With the poll feature, you can integrate interactive polls into your live blog, increase reader engagement, and gather direct feedback on current topics. How to Create a Poll: Add a Poll: Open the editing section of the live blog. Select the "Poll" option. The poll feature will now be displayed. Enter a Question and Answer Options: Enter a clear and concise question. Add multiple answer options (at least two, as many as needed). Set the Poll Duration: Define how long the poll should be active. Once the set time has elapsed, the poll will automatically end. Determine the Placement of the Poll: The poll can be published as a standalone post. Alternatively, it can be integrated into a longer post. If desired, you can pin the poll at the top of the live blog. Live Results and Anonymity: The poll is anonymous – each reader can vote only once. The editorial team can view the live results directly in the editor. With this simple feature, you can make your live blog more interactive and actively involve your readers in the reporting process!

How to Invite Experts: Open the desired live blog. Select the guest access icon in the middle of the editing area. Click "Invite Guest". Enter the guest’s name and email address. Managing Comments within the Editor

Use the "Comments" icon in the menu bar to get an overview of all comments created by your readers and edit them if necessary.  Info: Comments are post-specific, i.e. they can be created for individual liveblog posts and not for the entire liveblog.  You can choose different options for your comments already in the editor: - Instant Publishing - Review Comments - Read-Only (i.e. readers cannot add more comments, existing comments are kept) - Comments disabled (i.e. the comment function is completely hidden) Clicking on "Comments" in the menu bar opens a new window within the liveblog editor. Here you can see an overview of all comments created on this liveblog.  In the inbox you can edit comments, reply to comments, highlight comments or block a user. If you have selected the comment function "Review comments", they will end up in your inbox as shown in the screenshot below and you will have to manually "Approve" them.  Create labels to add labels to comments to better sort them.
